Wylie Volleyball 2010
Tryouts will begin on August, 2 and will be held at the Junior High Gym. This tryout is for any 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade girl who is interested in playing volleyball for Wylie High School. The first practice will begin @ 9:00am and end around 12:00 noon. The second practice of the day will begin @ 4:00pm and end around 6:30pm. Teams will be announced Tuesday, August, 3 after the evening practice. Our first scrimmage is on Friday, August, 6 and our first match is on Monday, August, 9. Volleyball Letter
High School Cross Country
High School boys and girls cross country athletes need to meet on Monday, August 9th, at the Doghouse at 10:00 a.m. Physicals need to be completed prior to the meeting.

Time: 9:00 am-11:30 am $20 each additional sibling
Registration Deadline: Friday, August 13, 2010. Forms must be submitted Friday by 4:00 pm in order to receive the T-shirt on Saturday. Applications received afterwards may participate on Saturday but will not receive a T-shirt until Tuesday, August 24, 2010, OR AFTER. Please mail all forms and money to:

The Class of 2011 Class Rank is available on Family Access. Go to Family Access, click on Gradebook, and then click on the GPA tab at the top.

High School Aerospace Scholars
Four Wylie High School students have all earned the opportunity to spend one week at Johnson Space Center in Houston this summer.
Curtis Williams (Wylie HS Pre-Calculus and Calculus teacher) has also been selected by NASA to be a mentor for one week of the High School Aerospace Scholar program this summer.

Principal Mitch Davis says, "These four young ladies are very deserving of this honor. They have put many hours into earning this while at the same time keeping up with rigorous academic and extracurricular schedules at school. I know they will be represent us well."

Child must be 4 on or before September 1, 2010

The Big Country Library System (BCLS) and the Abilene Public Library are pleased to continue Tutor.com's Live Homework Help for the upcoming school year. Students in grades K-12, as well as adult learners, will benefit from Live Homework Help's online tutoring service. The service is free for anyone with an Abilene Public Library card.
Students connect to tutors for one-to-one homework help sessions in an Online Classroom. All tutors are certified teachers, university professors, graduate school students, students at accredited colleges, and professionals who are experts in their fields. Live Homework Help tutors have received a third party background check and have been certified through Tutor.com.
Students can connect to online tutors for free seven days a week from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
